

AUSSIE V KIWI CHALLENGE LAUNCHED FOR WOTIF

Get your cross-Tasman rivalry going with Wotif.com's Aussie V Kiwi Challenge!
Moket has just launched a new online campaign for leading accommodation booking site Wotif.com, aimed at using the upcoming Rugby Tri-Nations Test Series (including the Bledisloe Cup) between Australia, New Zealand and South Africa to get people involved.
Moket were responsible for taking the brief of "an online survey based on Australians and New Zealanders competing in quiz-based competition" and turning it into an engaging and interactive digital campaign.
The centerpiece of the campaign is the www.aussivkiwi.com website, which asks players to take a quick survey to test their knowledge of their respective nations. Players can register to receive Wotif.com's e-newsletter and have their points added to their country's tally. They can also earn extra chances to win if they use the "Tell Your Mates" feature to invite other to come and play.
The scores for each country are shown in a small Flash animation on the site - but this is where Moket took things a step further. The same code and Flash assets were quickly turned into a desktop application using Adobe AIR, and also a Facebook application. This extension of existing assets from the main campaign onto other platforms is an effective way for Wotif.com to extend their brand reach onto the desktop and social networks, as well as the web browser.
